ONE DAY C.M.E. PROGRAM ON FETAL ULTRASOUND ORGANIZED AT SHRI MAHANT INDIRESH HOSPITAL
A One Day Continuing Medical Education (C.M.E.) Program with the subject Fetal Ultrasound was organized jointly by Radio-diagnosis Deptt. of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital and Indian Radiology & Imaging Association. In this C.M.E. Program, the evaluation of fetal health, structure and diagnosis of diseases by means of fetal ultrasound of the fetus were explained in detail by the experts. The Opening Ceremony of this C.M.E. Program which was organized at the auditorium of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital was done jointly by Chief Guest, Chief Medical Officer, Dehradun, Dr. Manoj Sharma, Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Ashok Nayak, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital’s Chief Medical Superintendent Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma and HOD, Deptt. of Radio-diagnosis, Dr. Rajiv Azad by lamp lighting.
Dr. Rajiv Azad in his Welcome Speech heartily welcomed all the guests and doctors. He threw light over the objectives and significance of this C.M.E. Program.
Chief Guest, C.M.O., Dehradun, Dr. Manoj Sharma said that fetal stage is the very base and beginning of life. Thus, Fetal Ultrasound is very significant in medical science. He explained that Fetal Imaging reveals the anomalies of unborn fetus and allows these anomalies to be treated in time. He said that the Radiologist and Clinician must function in proper coordination and close proximity with each other for the diagnosis of anomalies in the fetus and their treatment.
Principal, SGRRIM&HS, Dr. Ashok Nayak stressed the significance of Clinical judgement in addition to investigations.
Chief Speaker of the C.M.E. Program, Director, Advance Diagnostics, Ghaziabad and Director, Apex Institute of Fetal and Reproductive Sciences, Dr. Krishna Gopal explained the various ultramodern methods of assessing the fetus by ultrasound.
C.M.S., Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma also addressed the gathering and urged the young radiologists to work in coordination with the clinicians.
Dr. Mamta and Dr. Kanika showed the Live Demo of Fetal Imaging. By means of this program, the young doctors got acquainted with the ultramodern ultrasound techniques.
More than 100 doctors participated in the C.M.E. Program. Significant roles were also played by Radiology experts Dr. Rajender Srivastava, Dr. V.K. Sharma, Dr. Vishal Thakker, Dr. Manali Arora Thakker, Dr. Lovepreet Randhawa and Dr. Devkant Lakhera in making the Continuing Medical Education (C.M.E.) Program a success.
