On the occasion of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Oncology Department of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital released its quarterly bulletin “Cancer Samvad.”
The bulletin was unveiled jointly by Principal, Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences, Dr. Ashok Nayak, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital’s Nursing Superintendent, Mr. Anees, Head of Oncology Deptt,, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Garg, Dr. Ajit Tiwari, Dr. Rachit Ahuja and Dr. Pallavi Kaul.
As part of the program, a Breast Cancer Awareness Lecture was organized for the nursing staff. More than 100 nurses participated in this session. They were encouraged first to practice self-examination of their breasts, then to motivate their family members, and subsequently to spread this awareness in society.
In his address, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Garg informed that the Oncology Department of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital will organize several awareness programs throughout the month to ensure the message of early detection and prevention of breast cancer reaches every section of society.
Honourable Chairman of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Shri Mahant Devendra Das Ji Maharaj, congratulated the Oncology Department on this initiative and encouraged the team to continue their dedicated efforts toward cancer awareness and prevention.
