HEART PATIENTS FROM OTHER STATES REACHING SHRI MAHANT INDIRESH HOSPITAL FOR TVAR, WIRELESS PACEMAKER ORBITAL

Dehradun. Patients from various states of the country are reaching Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital to take hi-tech heart treatment at its Cardiology Department. Two Cath Labs are being run at the Cradiac Deptt. of Shri Mahant Indiresh Hopsital. In the Cath Labs., ultra modern heart procedures like TVAR, Orbital, Lead less Pacemaker are being carried out successfully. In the last few days, more than two dozen patients from Uttarakhand, West U.P., Himachal, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Kerala and Rajasthan, etc. have taken the benefit of hi-tech heart treatment at Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital.
81 years old patient Sumitra Devi, resident of Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, was suffering from heart related disorder for long time. The patient got consultation from many reputed hospitals of Uttar Pradesh but couldn’t get any relief. At SGPGI, Lucknow, he was advised of Open Heart Surgery. In previous consultation, the patient was also advised for Bye-pass surgery.
As soon as Patient Sumitra Devi and Patient Sunil Kumar, both residents of Lucknow, when they came to know about Senior Cardiologist and HOD, Deptt. of Cardiology, Dr. Salil Garg, they without making any dealy, immediately came from Uttar Pradesh to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dehradun. Dr. Salil Garg after getting done heart related tests, diagnosed that the patient’s veins had calcium deposit, In primary investigations, the need arise of putting stent. Dr. Salil Garg decided to Change the patient’s heart valve. The interesting and significant fact in this case was that Stent and TVAR both the heart procedures were doen simultaneously. Ordinarily, a patient is admitted in two different times for both the heart procedures, Stent and TVAR. But in this case, both the procedures were done simultaneousology. This is the only one and very first registered case in Uttarakhand state that in any heart patient Stent and TVAR were done together.
In the second case of patient Sunil Kumar, he was complaining of pain in the chest and palpitation. In the initial investigations, obstruction in heart arteries was found. This was treated by Stent. The significant fact in this case was that Sunil Kumar had reached from Lucknow to Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital’s ultra modern Cath Lab for treatment.
