MEDICAL STUDENTS TOOK THE CADAVERIC OATH

Cadaveric Oath programme was organized at Deptt. of Anatomy of Shri Guru Ram Rai Institute of Medical & Health Sciences. Preserved dead bodies used for medical education are called Cadaver in medical language. The students of the medical college were made aware about body donation while taking the Cadaveric Oath. So many students of the medical college participated in this Cadaveric Oath ceremony.
The programme was started jointly by Chief Guest, Professor & HOD, Deptt. of Anatomy, Govt. Medical College, Dr. A.K. Singh, Guest of Honour, Pro Vice Chancellor, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Kumud Saklani, Registrar, Research & Development, Shri Guru Ram Rai University, Dr. Pankaj Mishra, Chief Medical Superintendent, Shri Mahant Indiresh Hospital, Dr. Utkarsh Sharma and HOD, Deptt. of Anatomy, SGRRIM&HS, Dr. Sadakat Ali by lamp lightning. After that, Saraswati Vandana was sung by the first year students of MBBS.
Chief Guest Dr. A.K. Singh while addressing the gathering said that Cadaver is the very first teacher of the medical students from which the students learn medical basics and start their medical career. Dr. Utkarsh Sharma said that the subject of Anatomy needs to be studied and understood in deep because it is the beginning and start of medical education. Dr. Kumud Saklani said that Cadaver is the silent teacher of the medical students that provides them with valuable guidance. Dr. Sadakat Ali said that the bodies and souls that donate bodies for medical education and research are sacred great souls. He motivated the students to spread the message of body donation in the society. Dr. Shashi Munjal gave the Vote of Thanks. The occasion was also marked by the auspicious presence of Vice Principal Dr. Lalit Kumar Varshney, Vice Principal Dr. Puneet Ohri, Dr. Tariq Masood, Dr. Nidhi Jain, Dr. Sulekha Nautiyal, Dr. Sanjay Kaushik, Dr. Harmeet Kaur, Dr. Rubina Victor, etc.
